STEP 1: CHOOSE THICKNESS (STRENGTH)
Select the right chain gauge based on your dog's weight.
- 4mm (Light Duty): For dogs up to 50 lbs (23 kg). Best for: Frenchies, Beagles, small Pits.
- 6mm (Medium Duty): For dogs 50-100 lbs (23-45 kg). Best for: Pitbulls, GSDs, Boxers.
- 8mm (Heavy Duty): For dogs 100+ lbs (45+ kg). Best for: Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Great Danes.
STEP 2: CHOOSE LENGTH (FIT)
Since this is a slip collar, it must fit over the head.
- Measure Head: Find the widest part of the head (around the ears).
- Add Gap: Add 2 inches (5 cm) to that measurement.
- Result: This total length is your correct size. (e.g., 18" Head + 2" Gap = Order 20" Collar).
*This 2-inch (5 cm) gap is essential: it allows the collar to slip on correctly while remaining secure at the top of the neck during training, preventing accidental slip-offs.*
